Cooper trade?

I have a Cooper model 57M Classic in 17HMR that I bought when I lived out West. It is a tack driver and I used it to take a buttload of ground squirrels, jackrabbits and rock chucks. Now I live in the Midwest and would be better off with a 22LR Cooper for tree sqirrels. Trade anyone?
 
The 17HMR would be the safer of the two rounds due to the ricochet factor as the bullet glances of a branch if a miss happens. RANDY
