Converting a 300saum to 300wsm

To convert a Rem 700 300 SAUM to the 300 wsm, is changing out the ISS firing pin all that is required? I may be way off with the ISS terminology. Just trying to educate myself. - thanks in advance -

Why would you want to do that? The 300SAUM will fit the short action and do about anything the WSM will do. The WSM is a longer cartridge. The firing pin has nothing to do with the change to another cartridge.

the why is I picked up a Rem 700 300Wsm that was rechambered from a SAUM and I was just wondering what process was involved to do such a thing and if I am getting a functional weapon. I could have asked these questions pre-purchase, but I don;t think it is a problem. Owner stated it had been fired 3 times by gunsmith that did the work, no problems reported.
 
Being able to seat the bullets far enough out could be a problem. The WSM needs to be on a long action to take advantage of the longer case.

With the seating issue, would that effectively make this a single shot? Hopefully not. I'll have to check it out when it comes in.
