Once again Allie does it, Great shooting, But let it be know that he heard footsteps
the whole way with Kim, She was as close as close can get. The whole year came down to the last shoot of the year at Dublin GA, states, While standing behind her and watching her shoot the last target, she doubled with the shooter next to her and her shot went wide, She did not even hear the shot next to her, it was that close. Kim was leading going into the last target at 200yds. She had not droped a point until then. But as we all know thats just the way it goes. But she has nothing to be ashamed of, for she was beat by only one single point by the second best Hall of Fame Shooter of all time. That alone is something to be proud of, as we all are of both these shooters. Once again congrats to all the top 10 shooters on a great year.

For Allie and Lee to make the transition from group shooting dominance to score shooting dominance is remarkable. These guys are somethin' special in Benchrest.I don't know Kim, but I hear that she is a tremendous competitor as well. Congratulations to all.

I had the brief pleasure of shooting with them in a match up in VT this year, and it was inspiring to a new shooter such as myself. Just their presence, to me, brought out my best. I learned a hell of a lot competing at the same time as they did, and it made me realize there is a whole separate level of shooting out there that I can strive to achieve.
Congrats to both on a great season.

Congratulations Allie, Kim, Lee and Herby

Kim, Allie , Lee, and Herby ran a heckuva race all year. Lee who joined the race very late (after Winning 100/200 Nationals in August) was closing from behind very fast and had there been one more match he might have beaten both Kim and his brother. Allie and Kim were neck in neck for last 2 months Herby was in the running too but I think his main efforts were in trying to aid Kim in any way he could. I think from looking at maps Lee and Allie drove 4000 mi. in an 8 day period to attend the final 2 matches , now that is dedication. Congratulations for some fantastic shooting to all involved. I personally was rooting for Kim but Allie is a friend also and she certainly put in a great effort being beaten only a single point by one of the very best.

By the way , it needs to be said, the official standings are posted on the IBS webpage these are not the Official final results the results are final when announced at the Annual IBS meeting it appears the standings will probably remain same but the records involved have not yet been verified by the records committee. For convenience and having seen the targets first hand the SSOY points keeper has included those points in his statistics but we have yet to get formal notification on Kims 2 records and Allie and Lee have one each pending.

Congrats to all of the top ten, but particularly Allie and Kim. You put on a heck of a show, accumulating points(and miles) for us also rans to watch. Outstanding!--Mike Ezell

Amazing shootoff, Allie and Kim. Congrats to all who found the time to come out and compete. Although Jim Wooten's 410 points was unmatched this year, the top places got more competitive. Four shooters accumulated 350 or more points in 2010, versus two in 2009. Six shooters with 300 or more in 2010, versus four in 2009. 14 shooters with 200 or more in 2010, versus 11 in 200 (Congrats to fellow shooters Ron Jackson, Rick Fox and Jerry Nettles for reaching this level!) The bar has been raised!

Happy Holidays,
Keith

You did quite well too, Keith! A new gun on the way for you(or is it done), and let's hope you do even better with it next year. You've caught on fast and you're shooting very well. Congrats! We'll try and get Jackson,Fox and Nettles next year if they slip up;). Good shooting, guys, and congrats to you too!--Mike Ezell
