Were the conditions at the 50/50 3 gun Nats fairly calm or is the competition that tough? I can't remember Fairchance ever giving up those kinds of scores.
Compared to my past visits yes conditions were much better last weekend. Fairchance, I prefer Fatchance, is always a challenging place to shoot. A honey hole it ain't. Good competition can bring out the best in some of us. bob
Conditions varied from calm to 7-10 mph. It was mostly cloudy but with some periods of sun. It rained overnight on a couple nights so there was moisture on the ground. The prevailing condition was a left to right but varied in it's angle and this condition rarely held for an entire card, sometimes switching to a right to left long enough that you had to shoot that too. There was a new pistol range berm constructed to the left of the range that affected those on the lower numbered benches. I was getting caught with some vertical. A lot of good shooters struggled and a number of great shooters excelled - as what happens at every match.
