A while back I asked if anyone has used the Bore Rider products from Don Leidich out of Mich.
Several folks said yes and were pleased.
I received mine today. One for 6ppc and another for my future 30BR.
The concept is that the rod tip attachment has a larger diameter than the brush base and rod.
My 6ppc rod measures 0.203" and the Bore Rider is 0.230". This prevents the brass brush base from catching, or dinging, the crown. Same with the jag.
I tried the 6ppc and it worked very nice.
With a TK bore guide, Ivy rod and this Bore Rider, I'll have to work harder to ruin my barrel with cleaning. LOL
Just thought you guys might find this interesting.
The sleeve on the rod is part of the TK bore guide system. The sleeve centers the rod in the guide for better alignment.
