Cleaning rod bent

I just bought a new Bore Tech Bore Stix rimfire cleaning rod, 44" long and find that is has a slight bend in it, visible when rolling it along the the benchtop made of particle board which is very flat. I checked another rod and it shows perfectly flat on the top, so it's definitely the rod bent, I would guess around .020-.030" give or take. What should I do, return it, use it or what?

Straighten it, it's not tough.

Take to your local archery shop and have straightened on an arrow straightener. Works great!!LIf you try and do it yourself you will take a chance on putting a double bend in it then you are really in trouble.
