Cleaning Bat 3L bolt?

What do you use to clean the fluted part of the bolt? I had some grime in there and put some wipe out on it. That was mis-stake as it settled really corroded looking. I was able to wipe most of it out but still looks grimy.

thanks for any suggestions.
 
Probably something you don't want to do but I had a fairly grim looking bolt of similar fashion as yours and Mickey Coleman fixed it pretty quickly with his sandblaster.
