Chronographs

One popular one http://www.shootingsoftware.com/chronographs.htm

A second very popular http://www.pact.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=67

The one I went with http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=244882

I got the Shooting Chrony Beta Master because it fit my needs and was a lot cheaper. I'm not a bench rest shooter and only use it for building my hunting loads. They also have the Gama Master http://www.midwayusa.com/Search/#gamma%20master____-_1-2-4_8-16-32 but you will still need to buy their $80 ballastic software package to really be able to use the data on your computer. The Beta Master model is fully upgradeable to the Gama master but it will cost a hellava lot more to upgrade than to buy the complete package up front. Basic operation is fairly easy. Getting past basic functions it would probably help if you have a degree in computer science.

I use the Shooting Chrony Beta. Works good, but I want a remote.

Replace the metal rods with wood dowels. I haven't shot mine, but everytime I take it out of the box at the range, someone tells me they know someone that did.

I didn't mention the Ohler's because of this statement: Oehler has reluctantly suspended production of handloader equipment, including the Model 35 and the Model 43. Our current inventory of handloader systems is depleted. Production of industrial equipment and technical support for all Oehler equipment continues. You can still get warranty service and parts.

Heads up on the Pact XP...I hated mine and had a lot of problem out of it. I love the Pact Mark IV but I wouldn't wish the XP on my enemy.

Confused ?

They make a XP-1 and a XP Professional Plus a MKIV its a Timer and a Chronograph is that the one that you like? What kind of screens did you get? Infa red ?

The XP Pro is the one I had problems with (and they wouldn't exchange) and the MK IV is the good one in my opinion.

Yes, I have the infra-red screens. Love them since I do most of my load work-ups at night and they work great! I rigged mine to run off of a battery.
