Chronographs?

I find myself looking for a reliable accurate chronograph. What do you all recommend for a well made, accurate, and highly reliable chronograph? I shoot a .223 rem centerfire, .22 rimfire benchrest, and airgun benchrest so flexibiity and a large shot string memory is important for the airgun application of velocity curve measurements.

Thanks for your help...

The CED M2 is a great Chrono. I checked out a number of different mfgs and this one seems to be the most accurate (besides the Oehler) and has the most features. I am very happy with mine.

Here is another vote for the CED M2. I had an Oehler Model 35P and bought the CED to compare. I sold my Oehler 35P and kept the CED. It is a great chronograph and is very compact and easy to use.

And besides, I think Oehler stopped making their 35P..

I had a PACT chronograph and just purchased a CED chronograph which I've been very happy with. I can download all the information to my computer relatively easily.

You guys forgot a couple of things""- Where do you get them and what do they cost? What features are available ? Do they have a printable function that you and read on paper? garrisone.

Midway sells them for a reasonable price. I bought the tripod with the MII and it works but isn't the best.

No you can't print directly from the control but it is very easy to download all the data to your computer and print from there. Use the software that comes with the chronograph. I downloaded the update and it didn't work correctly.

Check out the Midwayusa site. Much info there.

Here is the link to the CED Chronographs.. Includes features and pricing..

Dave,
Thanks for the link... The CED M2 with the infrared screens definitely looks like its the right unit for what I'm planning to do. The main use will be on my indoor basement 10 meter range comparing ammunition and the IR screens should be perfect for that...

Interesting to see that CEDHK's USA division is in PA and that their on-line prices are the same within a dollar or so of MidwayUSA to buy direct from CEDHK...

Now its just a matter of budgeting the money...

Anyone else with more comments?

Thanks...
