Am thinking of getting a pvm 21 infrared chronograph.
how about some pro and con on this model.

Dan,

Who makes that unit and about what does it cost?

I agree with the cost concern but this is how I justify it. Getting to the range is no easy chore. When you consider the time factor in loading up the truck prepping all the brass and the rest that goes along with it then driving the 1/2 hr to the range setting up a reloading station, chronograph, bags, rifle etc...... then not to have the stupid chrony work is very frustrating. Now consider all the time and effort you put forth in getting to the range only to have to pack it all up and go home because the chrony didn't work or have it fail in the middle of a ladder or string or group testing.
This my friend is enough to drive me crazy so when I had the privilege to use the pvm at Bruce Baers place I ordered one the next week. Have not had a chrony problem since.
