China scopes..........Weaver??

It was mentioned recently that Weaver is importing from China. Does anyone have any factual info on this?

Such as: IF so, when did they start, all models or only some? How do you tell the difference?

If the scope was packaged with puffed rice instead of styrofoam peanuts it probably came from somewhere in the Far East. If it came in a box without ANY protective packing....it came from China.
