For those of you that do not get Precision Shooting magazine, beg borrow, or steal the August edition. Denny Antonius wrote a really lovely tribute to the recently departed gentleman, Chet, that is very much worth a read. A great rememberance for a true contributor to the sport. Thanks Denny.

Denny thanks for taking the time to write about the person that influenced my life more than anyone accept my parents. I think it is ironic that the first time Chet and I went to a match Denny was the first person to talk to us and share his knowledge of the sport and now he has wrote what might be the final story about a great man and how much he loved the sport.
Tim I thank you for bringing attention to the article and realizing how unique Chet was and what he did in a short time. I hope that the people he met, helped or worked for do not forget what he did or how he treated them. I know that our local club where we shoot the FUN MATCHES has benefited from Chet in more ways that can be counted. All rim fire shooters should know that shooting rim fire bench rest went from one shooter shooting against himself to 15 to 20 shooters. One last thought on the FUN MATCHES, that were won with a 244 to 246 score in the beginning that now take a 250 with a high X count to win thanks to my friend and mentor Chet. Thanks should also go out to Jeanne Sharon and Shelly for sharing his time on this earth with the rest of us.

Chet thanks for everything

What a great tribute to Chet. I can tell you thought a great deal of Chet. It will be a long time if ever those records will be broken.
Thanks

Tim, thanks for the heads up on the story. I enjoyed reading it very much. Mr. Amick was a man that I had wanted to meet and talk with, and I really regret not getting a chance to do that. I had a lot of respect for his work and his shooting ability as well. I know he was also very well respected, and very well thought of by many who knew him. He did some remarkable things with rimfires and also did some great shooting.

Denny, you did an exceptional job with the story about your friend. I enjoyed reading it and it added quality to the magazine for your fellow rimfire BR shooters. I hope to shoot with you again soon, somehere down the road.
