chasing a wildcat 6.5 gt

so sunday am, i shot a 600 yard match in ojai (ojai valley gun club) east of ventura in lovely kalifornia.
i shot my 300 wsm for heavy and the 6.5 gt in lite at just under 17 lbs( i have a 22lb bbl config also)
we shoot split relays with relay one shooting lite, then in the pits while relay two shoots lite then heavy, at which point we go back and shoot heavy..an attempt to even out the wind issue. the bad news is i did not shoot as small as i had hoped,,,it was very mild conditions. i did take first in lite gun score and second in lite gun group. i screwed up target one trying to aim with the dot,,but it is too large and the target sucked. i rezero'd on a crosshair below the dot and things got better.
tied for second overall in the match but lost the tie breaker and got third overall.
work continues
well i looked again and realized, that with the point system we use, i actually got first place in lite gun...my 3 point total beating the 4 of the guy in second

WELL there is a down side to h4895..in the 6.5 GT....it is very temp sensitive. i shot a 600 yard match in OJAI sunday am. very mild conditions except for TEMP.. started at 30 and was about 45 when i finished lite gun. pure krapp. i had no shot to shot tracking, and heavy bolt lift on most shots. guys were shooting one to two inch groups and i was shooting SIX and SEVEN inches!, got my butt handed to me heavy gun also..just not as bad. but fun was had by all!
