Ok dont yell at me but i have a shilen barrel blank that has both ends cut off and i dont remember which end was stamped how big of a deal is it if i chamber it on the other end of where it was stamped? This will not be a competion barrel just a hunting barrel. Thanks Mike

Yes and Yes. Centerfire .358cal for an AR15 Platform. Thanks Mike

I was curious as to why it would not be obvious to chamber the big end...there is not one. I'd call Wade Hull or one of the other Shilen guys. I don't think, on a buttoned barrel, that it would make any difference which way the bullet goes. On a cut rifled barrel some say they are directional and some say it makes no difference on them either.

I just........

got a new Shilen unturned blank, which end is normally chambered? The stamped end or the unstamped end or does it matter?
