chambering a barrel for use with barrel nut

1 )how to correct chamber a barrel for use with a barrel nut ?
2) is there enuff sholder material for chambering a 1.200 " barrel for a 1 1/16x20 action ?

shoulder ? the nut runs against the action to lock all three in place.
did I miss something( no expert)

The barrel nut eliminates the use of "shoulder material" completely......you can use a barrel nut on a barrel that measures only 1.06, NO shoulder material

i asked 2 questions nr 1 is for a chambering with nut the second Q is for a " normal " chambering job

Q nr 1: how do i do a chambering job for use with barrel nut ( i now you have to insert a gauge to set the headspace and then lock the barrel nut
but how do i now the gap barrel/boltface then ?)

Q nr 2 : is there enuff material to do a chambering job the traditional way (with sholder) if i got a action with 1 1/16x20" threat and a 1.200" barrel

As a general rule you should have around 0.010" clearance between the bolt nose and the barrel tenon. Head space calculations should allow for this nominal clearance but it wont matter if its a thow or two either side when headspce is set with the nut.

Absolutely! A 0.140" over all shoulder (0.070" each side) will be more than enough on a action/thread this size. You would be able to setup and chamber as usual no problems at all..
