This past weekend we hosted the first two stages of the Utah state Championship in glorious weather. Cool mornings and daytime highs in the 60's with some challenging wind the whole weekend. At times it seemed like their was more laughter than shooting going on with all the ribbing and joking. If you were a serious shooter you would have been lost in this crowd! Lou Murdica and Dave Blazzard provided most of the entertainment and I'm not sure which of them took most of the ribbing. It was a fun weekend for the 31 competitors and we look forward to hosting the second half of the Utah Championship August 4-5th.

Correct me if I'm wrong, Jim beat Joe with his bag gun in a 10 shot unlimited! Nice work Jim! Had to be an interesting conversation on the way home > I believe they travel together. I don't want to start anything butttttt!

Thanks Marty. We missed you and Jack!

I was so tired by the end of the match that I didn't even know I'd won anything. Simply got lucky in the UL is all. But I made up for it with a penalty in the sporter! The mirage was so bad that I thought I had a cluster of 3 shots @ 200 yards with one bullet a bit high and another bullet a bit low. Turned out that the cluster was only two shots but the mirage just made it LOOK like three. I don't know how I goofed that one up!
 
Congrats to all the winners and especially Dan Dowling. Must have been that secret ghost pepper hot sauce he put on his pizza each day for lunch!
