I recently found some CCI Benchrest primers while I was looking for plain old fashioned small rifle primers. I bought them to use in my .221 Fireball. What makes these primers different from others?

They may or may not be better or more consistent. Two things you can count on. they have a B stamped on them and they cost more. Same with 205 Federal and 205m's

Benchrest, match, whatever, they do cost more. Supposedly, they are subjected to additional intense quality control.

they have a much tougher cup. Much less likely to pierce from over-pressure loads
