Case sizing question

For the past few years I have been using the 3 die Redding bushing neck size die set. Usually I just neck size the cases but every 4 loadings I have been full length sizing also. By then they are getting a little stiff to close the bolt.

When I full size I either neck size first or full length size first. There does not appear to be any difference in accuracy.

My question is: am I doing something incorrectly or missing something? What is the preferred method? Neck/FL or FL/Neck?

Thank you for the input.

I've found that FL sizing every time ,with a custom die or well fitting die, works best. Minimal sizing is best but you have to FL size.
When a rifle is fired the brass expands, the chamber expands and the receiver ring expands. The steel parts come back to their original size while the brass only springs back a small amount. High pressure loads can actually exceed the yield point of the brass. Thus hard extraction with new brass. Brass work hardens as it is streched back and forth during firing and during sizing. It will develop a memory on the large side if only neck sized. FL sizing everytime allows it to develop that memory on the small side. If it is hardened on the large side,no amount of sizing will help get it out of the chamber after firing.

I understand. My question is, I have a neck size die only and a body die only. What procedure is better. Neck size then body size or body size then neck size?

Sorry didn't see body die mentioned. neck size first then adjust your body die till you get the feel you want when closing the bolt. If that doesn't work then you have some other issue.

OK, that is the way I have been doing it most of the time. But I didn't notice any difference either way. No issues here, just educating myself. Thanks !
