How close is the case capacity for the .300 Savage factory round and the 30x47 Lapua based on the 6.5x47 case? I was wondering if load data is similar.

if what I experienced with my loads is any indication. I normally use Rem/Win Savage 300 brass to make my 30/47HBR brass. For a while I experimented using the Lapua 6.5x47 brass. My powder load (Vit 135, 42.8gr) came within 1/16" from the top of the neck in both cases. After having to modify the Lapua brass because of the size difference at the web (.002" larger) I went back to the 300 Savage brass. Accuracy performance was the same with both brass. My reamer is prior to 1997 when it was not based on Lapua brass.
I have both the 30x47 Lapua based on the 6.5x47 Lapua and one based on the .300 Savage case like yours Virgil. I was curious how
an unaltered .300 Savage case compared to these two in case capacity.
