Hello guys, I am new in sniping...

I would like to develope a good round for my blaser R93 lrs2 .300WM with twist rate 1/11.

How to start, which bullet weight to use and how to find out the right seating depth...

Also, should I use large rifle or large rifle magnum primers?

About the powder I have decided to use the vihtavuori n165...

How should I start?

Probably the wrong forum

Check out the factory/hybrid or the F-class forums or even the 600/1000 yard forum. Ask your questions there. The rifle/cartridge combo you're asking about is more likely found there.

If you are at sea level, 180 grain bullets will probably be your reliable limit. If higher elevation, you can try 190's and possibly even heavier. But for now, let's stick with 180's. Pick an aerodynamic, boat tail bullet. Seat it to fit your magazine if desired. If no magazine, seat it to just touch your riflings. Use magnum rifle primers and load up three shots at each charge going up in half grain increments. Chronograph them if you can while you shoot the load ladder at 100 yards (meters in your case probably) or 200. When you find a load with good accuracy and good standard deviations, try to tighten up the group by adjusting the seating depth in .005" increments shorter from the original setting.

I have found N165 to work great in my 300 WM. Start the ladder at around 73 grains and go up from there. Mine really liked 75 grains with 180's but yours might be less or more.

Good luck.
