Is any one still making the tool for scraping the carbon ring from the front of the 22 chamber. I bought one several years ago- they were a hot item at the time- looked like a 22 mag cartridhge with teeth cut on it with a threaded stem to go on a rod.

The idea of scraping a chamber in a custom hand lapped barrel just gives me the Willies thinking about it. I think there are safer alternative methods out there for removing carbon. But then again, I'm sure the gunsmiths will love you for it. Gives them another opportunity to replace a barrel.

Don't worry about this device hurting your chamber. I bought one of these things years ago when he first made them. Worthless! Wouldn't go in a match chamber anyway. No way it could damage anything even if you did manage to get it in a chamber as it was made of soft brass.
I was so embarressed at myself for buying it I wouldn't even send it back.
