good pics, good shooting, looks like it's not as hot
there as here.

Good shooting John! And almost a 750 Agg to-boot. Man oh man, can't that last shot sometimes get you to thinking ...both before and after pulling the trigger? If only ...and what if. But, there aren't a whole bunch who have shot a 749 Agg., like you and Paul ...and Todd, so you're in good company my friend. Congratulations!

Dave

Thanks for the kind words, Dave. It was a rare condition at CCRPC. We usually have it almost as bad as when we used to shoot at Pinnacle in winter. I'll never forget how the wind whipped around the shack, blowing down wind flags; the pot-bellied stove cranking for all she was worth on one end of the shack and freezing cold on the other. Then, there were the heat waves as we shot through the gun ports.... :(

Still, we had a blast!!!

Congrats Mr. Picher. Now you've shot a 749 so you know you can shoot a 750, if everything's just right. Keep shooting and you'll get that 750. Well done.

Thanks, Kent. I think the planets were aligned for me at that match. I can't say enough about the rifle, a used Butch Hongisto 40X I found here in the classifieds and "tweaked" a little.

John,
It had been 7 yrs since the last time I shot at Capital City, and I'm glad this trip allowed me to witness your 749 agg! You've got the gun and skills to make the 750 happen next time! You've also got a great range and some pretty darn good shooters up there. I hope I can schedule all of my Maine vacations to coincide with one of your matches.

Paul, Nice pics! It's not easy to get both dogs to look into the camera at the same time! Must be all those cookies you feed them!
Todd

Thanks Todd! I was hoping to get to one of your matches this summer, but it's not looking good.

Congratulations John, great shooting!

I see Gary was right on your tail the whole way, getting a 250 18X. Good shooting!.

Thanks for the pictures Paul.

Thanks, Al.

Yes, shooting at Cap. City is getting really competitive these days. Thankfully, my new rifle is keeping me in the fray.
