Yes if you have a small spacer in back of the follower.

yes. I had a short remington action in 222 years ago.
It had a shortened follower and a spacer in the box. It was very reliable''

As Butch and Jerry have stated,.,,,you can use 222 folowere and spacer or modify ((shorten ))the .308 follower and install a spacer made of plastic/delrin/teflon/etc. behind it and feed the ctgs. from the front of the mag well...Roger

i had a sako varmint a2 action rifle in 22 250, and i rechambered it to a 30 br . if fed flawlessly with no modifications. a friend of mine has it now, and its a great deer rifle shooting 125 grn sierra pro hunter bullets. very accurate. shoots in the ones and twos br
