Gallery practice ammunition is used for short range practice with Submachine gun m/45 and m/45B. When using gallery practice ammunition the blank firing barrel without the blank firing device is to be used. Is to be used up to 30 meters. The projectile is made of plastic with a 5,2mm steel ball that weights ca 0,5gram embedded in the tip. When fired, the plastic gets shredded, and the steel ball continues as projectile. The steel ball on the picture is in a bad shape. Its rusty.

I sent the picture to a friend in Sweden, we'll see if he gets it and if he can do anything with it.

As some has said, it´s Swedish:) Let´s see

36st --> 36pieces
9mm Kptr m/39 --> 9mm sub-machinegun cartidge model/39
Får endast användas i vapen med lösskjutningspipa utan lösskjutningsskydd. --> Only to be used in weapon with "blankfire barrel" and without blankfire divice/attachment attached.

All blank ammunition nowadays are in red boxes, and with red markings on the cases. Maybe they were blue before? Maybe someone else knows?

It's now been posted twice, but since there's a drop more information here, I'll post what my friend sent me:

Yes it’s swedish and it says:

36 pcs

9 mm machingun cartridges model 1939

May only to be used in (now I’m not sure what is in english but it says) trainingbarrel WHITHOUT training apparatus.

The numbers at the bottom says they are manufactured by NORMA the ”070” indicates that rest is just lot #.

These shots was made with a ”plastic” bullet actually not really plastic, it was that kind telephones was made from in the therties if you get what I mean.

There was also a small steelball in the tip , it was meant to be used at very short range just for training purposes.

Why is it 36pcs in the box , yes thats right the mags for our Carl Gustav m/45 hold 36 shoots.

I can also add that we actually compete in our national shooting program with the m/45B as it i called, one can be Swedish champion in submachin gunning.

Yes all is well over and a Happy new year to all of you guys over ther.

Wish I could make trip to you a visit some of your shooting and bring my rifle.

I think that's what he meant. Everything in that post after the first line is the text of my friend in Sweden's reply to me.

Thanks to those that replied

Lots of info to take to work tonight. Did the picture show up when you fellas clicked on this post? Just wondering.... Mark :)
