Camp Perry Ammo

Not much ammo for sale during Camp Perry. Very little Red Box, no Match EPS. Managed to buy 2 cases of Team and 2 of Lapua Center X. Lapua was on site asking for input through a survey. I put down that we need decent ammo in the 900.00 to 1200.00 case price range with full info on speed and plenty of test lots. Eley was there as well. the Lapua tent had a pair of attractive Finnish females helping with the survey. The Eley guys looked unhappy. Shane Barnhart (sic?) won 3 position and prone. Conditions varied from wet to windy. Great group of fantastic junior shooters coming along. Wet Eley will lead a tight bore so bad that it drops 48 inches at 100 yards!

Did the Eley people have any believable reason for their lack of stateside inventory ?

A few weeks back I tested some Center X in several rifles and was underwhelmed but recently I tried some in a Suhl 150 with the factory slow twist bbl sporting a weighted Fudd tuner and the stuff shot awesomely well. I should shoot it in the match tomorrow but I only have one box left

A friend in the UK told me several weeks ago that the Chinese ordered over 6 million rounds.....there was not even ammo to test at the Eley test range as everything was going into fulfilling that order.
