For the last decade or so the Camillus Sportsman’s Club match theme has been the Pro-Am. An experienced shooter is paired with a new shooter, 5 or less years of competition. The “AM” draws the “Pro” out of a hat by competitor number-simple blind draw. Their HV aggs are averaged against the other teams. This year’s winners just needed to be shared. Clayton Martin at a spry 87 years and Wyatt Peinhardt at a mature 14 were the winning team. Two people that, to me, show that this sport does have something for everyone – no matter what you might have read. Wyatt was lucky enough to pick a father who not only includes him on his Benchrest outings but shows support should we all take note of. Good folks having good fun. The rest of the results will be on the IBS page shortly but this pair struck me as a bit special.
