Please, 1st. I do not wish to sound insensitive or detract from the pain and suffering of the poor folk's of Oklahoma who endured the horific storms that claimed so many lives, and caused so much distress.
Sat.5-25 , at Wawarsing Ny.we delt with some strong weather, high wind's, sideways rain.& cold. Somehow, some decent scores were shot none the less. The following day, Sun. 5-26 at Camillus Ny. was something to behold. " I see no one is in any hurry to post those scores" Was apx.45-50 dec.f. with wind's sustained around 35-45mph.! comming across the vast plains of camillus were gusts that had wind flags, umbrella's & small children blowing around like tumble weed's. Some of the hold off's were clear into bull's to either side of what we were trying hit. Was totally unreal!
The worst thing was that we were fourtunite to have two "brand new to the sport" shooters at the match. Its really not how you want to see your first match. Those two guy's were Great! We assured them it's not allways like this. I think they will be back, I hope so!!!
So please, Try to contain yourselvs when those scores get posted. We all should have gone home after the sporter class. But "Hey" this is New York. We just said WTF ! and shot the whole match, cussing, laughing, & wasting our good ammo! What's worse....we will do it again.

It had been stated that it was the single worst day of conditions ever witnessed at that range.....not noted for being easy under favorable conditions. It was just painful. On a bright note I learned some new words sitting next to Ed.

Word's ?

See that ?! You CAN teach an ol dog new trick's..........Quiz to follow.

Was anyone brave enough to use the side sighters? Would have liked to have witnessed that spectacle. I said witness- not participate. Actually sounds like fun.

Side sighters?

We just used the other guy's targets, The card's looked like we were shooting Buck shot.

Absolutely. I actually used several. It did, however, give new meaning to the term "leeward".

Leeward

Leeward:,,, Is the direction downwind from The point of reference . Wikipedia. Thanx Tim, Young dog, new words.
