Buttplate options...

I am building a 6mmbr on a McMillan Tooley MBR stock and wanted to see what type of butt plates, recoil pads, etc that are available that would fit this stock. I thought about using an aluminum butt plate so it would track better.

Anybody got any ideas or recommendations? Thanks for your help.

I couldn't find anybody on here or 6mmbr. So I went with a 4-way adjustable Tubbs

Just saying, it can be done by hand. It's a pretty simple operation and the only caveat is the amount of work required.

I did this one and another very similar plate simply by cutting out a rectangle (from that very piece of aluminum), cutting corners with the saw, and then going to work with files and sanding blocks. I did all of the shaping with the butt in a vise and checked the fit often- final fitting was done with the butt screwed into the stock for a seamless fit. A plate with more taper from the comb to the toe will require more work, but it really isn't that bad.
