Well folks since a fellow CF BR shooter put up a post over there I though I'd let you guys know what's up since I know many never venture over there. As many of you know, Butch has run things at Canastota NY for IR 50/50 from the start. While the coming NYS/Regional 3 gun was always Butch's baby, he has has not been able to continue which is why I've tried to get the match done and continue with help and support from fellow shooters and club support.
This has really developed far faster than anyone could have forseen but he is now in Upstate hospital oncology unit where he is comfortable and sedated deciding not to suffer through an 11'th hour treatment program. Think a kind thought for Butch.

Tim,
That's sad news to hear about fellow shooter and match director, sad news to hear about anyone. I'm very sorry to hear it. Please give him my best. I've never had the opportunity to meet the man, but have heard good things about him from folks who have. Butch and his family we be in our prayers. Thanks for the post.

Tim,
Godspeed to your friend. It is always a tough thing. I will pray for his family.

A final note, Jim Borden has posted a couple great photos of Butch over on the Centerfire Benchrest side. A nice farewell.

Kathy and I are very sorry to hear about Butch passing away. We were away this weekend and didn't know how bad he was until I read this post. He was a great guy and a heck of a Match Director. We'll miss him....
