I put a new set of burris rings on my suhl, something is wrong even though i have gone over it several times. I am out of left adjustment and not on center yet. Does anyone know what is wrong thanks.

your rings

i know fred hates them but i used millet windage rings on my suhl and no problem.

i made sure all parts were loose and slowly started tightning things up.

The inserts may or may not have an off center bore. The are designed to allow you to rotate the insert to correct alignment of the barrel or the bases. They are marked. 05,10,20 etc for the amount of offset as well as a mark to show the center of the offset. Rotate the insert to get closest to optical center of your scope.

The plus & minus offset rings . . .

I ordered a dozen sets of Burris Signature rings. They all came with just the 0 (zero offset) inserts. I had thought there would be a set of each thickness for each set of rings. No: Just the zero rings.

So: I then ordered the gunsmith kit, which includes 10 sets each of .005, .010" and .020" offsets rings. I suppose you could order just one set, but which thickness?

I ordered a "bunch" because our club is starting rimfire Metallic Silhouette this year out to 200 yards. They are all going to have to raise their rear (scope ring) to get enough elevation at 200 yards.

Burris Signature Rings

Just my 2 pence worth, but I believe the Suhl is a copy of the Anschutz 54 action, and the Anschutz action dovetails are 11mm. When I enquired about, and ordered Burris rings, the recommended rings for my Anschutz 1607 are actually for 3/8" dovetails and I consequently had to purchase the additional inserts.

Hope this helps?

A couple of things to look at.

I have seen the plastic inserts that varied a lot dimensionally. Both the basic set marked "0" that came with the rings and the offset inserts marked + - 5, + - 10, and + - 20.

Reverse your rings and see if the problem moves to the other direction.

I have reversed them and went frount to back and still no change. I think i might order a different brand any suggestions thanks.

suhl rings

I put on a set of B-square rimfire airgun. they are for 11mm and adjust for windage and elevation. if you are interested I could find the model #

Yes please if you can find the model i would appreciate it.

b-square rings

11mm b-square rings # 10101 I got mine from jerry's, they wholesale for $23.50. jerry's # BSS10101. they have good instructions on setting them up to be stress free on the scope. you can center your scope and adj the rings. where you are on target or just a click or two off. I have been using them for awhile with no problem.

You might try Harrell's Precision.....I just ordered a set of 30 mm from Lynwood and he says he makes rings for Suhl. If you don't like them you can send them back, as with all things he makes.
I have bought a lot of things from him over the years and never had a problem. His policy, you don't like it , send it back, don't pay for something you can't use. He is listed on the board.
