All the responces to my last thread kind of lead me to this.
When I learned to shoot bullseye pistol with iron sights. I was tought to hold (POA) at 6 oclock. This was the standard back then. Even when I shot all army pistol I used a 6 oclock hold. My coaches tried to teach me to use a bullseye hold (center of target) The new standard, but that didn't work. Old habbits are hard to break!
But when my eyes got worse (older) I went to a red dot. I tried holding 6 oclock but could not. It was easyer to hold the dot in the center of the target.
So my question to you is.....is there a standard in benchrest shooting for where you hold (POA)
