Will be on may 9th @6pm . we also have a 2-target match @130pm before the tournament , this will act like a practice session to tune for the tournament , the range will be open at 8am for anyone that wants to get here early..May is usually a good time of the year to shoot great targets here,,,, and as for the food we will be serving hot and spicy louisiana boiled crawfish with all the trimmings . So if you plan on attending please let me know asap so i can plan for the crawfish......Good eats and good shooting .it dont get any better than this..........hope to see you all here.............Scotty Hebert 337-278-6658.

I sure hate to miss eating crawfish because the ones I've had this year have been great but I'm scheduled to be at a faculty meeting at Tulane in New Orleans that weekend. How about if I shoot on Friday and beat the rush and you can turn my scores in later? You think Macky would go along with that?

Ken, hope you can get out of your new orleans trip and come on down here to shoot with us........the person scoring the match will be the ( scorer) and has probley scored more targets than just about anyone out there and has allways done a great job at it........fuel is cheap now , so come on down and shoot with us for a great match with better eats ......hope to hear from you all..... thanks Scotty

Thanks, Ken! That's a great compliment that's very much appreciated! (if you skip your meeting and come shoot with us, I'll pay you back for that nice comment! hahaha) For all of you who hate the plug... just KNOCK OUT THE DOT and I won't have to use it!

As for the crawfish, we've been boiling at the house just about every Friday. We have a great, reliable source that has the fattest, most tender, best-tasting crawfish around! (don't ask who it is cause we ain't giving away our secrets!) And I must say, Scotty knows how to boil 'em right! I might even whip up a nice, cool dessert as well.

Like Scotty said, fuel prices are down so grab your ammo, your guns, your rests, and your appetite and get over here!! :)

Hopefully if the powers that be that scheduled this meeting wake up to to fact that they scheduled it on Mother's Day weekend, maybe they will move it and I can come shoot. I've got some new killer ammo from Dan Killough that's just itching to kick some a$$.

I just checked the weather for the weekend and it looks like it's going to be a dang nice weekend to shoot.

I'm ready to score a 2500 at this range and I would sure like for it to happen this weekend. Any takers?
 
Are you talking about this coming weekend or next weekend, the weekend of the shoot, Mother's day weekend? If so, my weather balloon doesn't see that far ahead.
 
Ken it is next weekend, not this weekend , remember she is a blonde.......
 
The shoot is NEXT weekend, the 9th, but my weather vane is telling me it's going to be VERY NICE WEATHER THAT WEEKEND. There is a chance of rain from Monday thru Friday of next week but they are calling for high tempertures and lots of sun for the weekend.

And yes... I am blonde... and I'm a bucket-full of useless information (someone tells me that) but I'm fun and cute so it's OK. HAHAHA!!! (don't make me use the plug...) ;)
 
Unfortunately, the blonde is real. I dyed it dark a long time ago to get away from all the blonde jokes, but the first thing someone said to me was "Hey look... artificial intelligence!!" Ticked me off so I just went back to the natural and left it that way.

Any news on your meeting that was going to keep you from coming over? We would sure like to have you!
 
update...

Just checked the weather again for the tournament coming up this weekend...

For those of you coming early, bring some sunscreen. Supposed to be sunny with a high of 88. Wind during the day from the South at 11mph. After the sun goes down, the wind will slow to 4mph. Should be a great night for shooting.
 
that is the same conditions that we had when Dustin Allen shot his 2500 target...... hope to have another come from this range ... sure had a lot of close ones ........

Looks like we gonna have some fine weather to shoot in on saturday, high of 90 degrees and 4-11 mph winds ....... Should be a good match. The RANGE will be open at 830am on saturday ... Hope to see everyone here......
 
Just wanted to thank Scotty, thescorer, Scotty's dad, Scotty's mom and everyone for a great shoot and FOOD at the matches Saturday. Alot of work went into these matches and I would like to say that everyone really had a great time.

Congratulations to Dustin Allen and his win with a 2308 agg., second was Scotty Hebrt with a 2245 agg. third Marion Collier with a 2241 agg. and forth was Chris Peet with a 2170 agg.
Kevn and I had a great time visiting everyone, and the crawfish was great as usual. Thanks a bunch !!
