What brands of bullets are the long range Bench Rest Shooters shooting? {600 & 1000 } . In 6mm & 6.5mm. Are custom bullets more accurate than factory made?

Sierra, Berger, and Lapua, in no particular order. See what your barrel likes. In 6.5 and 7mm there are also Jlk's that work very well. Probably more customs out there that are known in their locale.
In 6mm, there are various offerings from custom makers. Randy Robinett makes a heavy 6mm.
Usually the customs will shoot as well or better but most barrels have a preference that you have to find.
Come down to Huntsville and shoot the Texas 600 in a couple of weeks.

Max, You wil find every thing out there. Are custom better than factory? Yes for the most part and not all the time. I just ran 105H Bergers over the Juenke machine and a hundred were less than 4 divisions and the Bearing surface was less than +-.001 but this lot was way better than the last. I have custom bullets that can't touch that also. It takes a lot of work to shoot small, if you get lazy it will bite you......jim

Stick's a good man he has been working on my stuff for years. Im surprised he would work on some of the junk I drag up.
