ok the gun is an ar15...so building the rifle is not a big deal, but it was my first real bbl front to backand i did the trigger too...4 lbs. it had been a 20" match bbl wore out, and then shot by me at 100-300yds in various matches, before cutting it back to 17.5 for this project.
chambered thru the headstock. i used lots of input from a bunch of gunsmiths/machinist who have been great about sharing thier experiences.
i did the muzzle, then drilled, bored and reamed the chamber.
took it out and fired it this am doing some load development. this is a short range carbine used in three gun competition. blasting ammo is made from 55fmj/bt/w canalure. not target bullets by a long shot. best group this am was aprox 3/4" at 100yds.....so i am happy.
thanks to all that have lent thier years of experience to us beginers.
and a special thanks to jackie!
