Has anyone had any experience with the BSA platinum fixed 24x scopes. I am looking for a used fixed 24x for a varmint gun but haven't had much luck, I found one of these but am not sure about their quality. thanks

I have used these scopes on 22 through 7mm mags and they seem to hold up chross hairs and dot version seem pretty heavy.Glass isn't like leupold But for under 70.00$ !!!!!!!!!!! tracking seems to be very good(return to zero)Buy New and don't have some one elses problems or miss handled product. comes with factory war. check Natchez shotters supplies

I've had a 24X Platinum for about 10 years. It has resided on several rifles both rim fire and centerfire. It currently sits atop an Anschutz 1422. It has been reliable, repeatable and trouble free. It is not optically as clear as the Leupolds, Nikons, Pentax, and Burris's that I own but the price was right! In good light mine does pretty well. It really is a crap shoot as these scopes are produced with very lax specs and as cheaply as possible. I would suggest trying to find one and looking through it before buying since $70 buys a lot of rimfire ammo! Best of luck, Guy

They used to be good when they were Japanese. Now for the $70 you get Chinese. I still have a 24x and a 36x still in the boxes-Japanese. Going to put one of them on the next gun this summer.
