I would go with one close but don't forget their are many great gunsmiths in your region. And don't forget about shipping.

How do get in contact with Tucker & who else could you suggest in texas.

I will let Jackie or one of the others from Texas answer the question about gunsmiths close by. You couldn't go wrong with Cecil, that's for sure. Also what might come into play is: what time frame are you looking for? Bruno's, Kelbly's and Hoehn's amoung others may have a barrel in stock which will speed the process up. If your willing to take time, then let the gunsmith you select (who may or may not be a dealer) order the barrel and chamber it up. Hope I didn't confuse you any.

Everyone mentioned does great work. I have had several barrels chambered at Bruno's in the past 6 months and have been very satisfied. In fact, I have another to take there now.

Thanks for the help. NO you did not confuse me. Time is not a problem. I did find out today that barrels went up in price at the first of the year along with everything else. I do need to get in touch with jackie. I have tried but have not been able to. I just got through looking at advo for smiths & got Pete's # at Precision Will call him tomorrow. Shipping does get costly.
