I just wanted to remind everyone in the Southeast Region about our upcoming shoot in Birmingham. The shoot will be held November 9-10 at Brock's Gap Training Center in Hoover AL. The range will be open for practice at 9 am Thursday November 7.

I am attaching a document with detailed information on the shoot, accommodations and attractions in the area.

Unfortunately the Brock's Gap board of directors has decided we can no longer use the training room for loading. I plan to have 3 10X20 canopies available for setting up loading tables, but if you have an EZup or other type of portable canopy I recommend bringing it just in case. Every shooter definitely needs to bring a table and chair.

The gates will open about 6:30 Thursday morning. Alabama Range Protection Act says we can't start shooting before 9 am. I will be there at 6:30 am and we will be setting target frames in an effort to be ready for practice at 9 am. Just see me when you get there about a place to set your canopies.

It looks like we will have fantastic weather this weekend. We have a band of rain moving through Wednesday night but should be gone by late morning Thursday. Weather report says lows in the mid 40s, highs in the mid 60s and 0% chance of rain Friday through Sunday. Typical glorious severe clear fall days in the southeast!

The Alabama-LSU game is in Tuscaloosa Saturday and it isn't unusual for the crowds to overflow into Birmingham, so if you are staying in a hotel I hope you already have reservations.

Hey Steve, how about an update on the day's festivities, for those of us that spent opening day of deer season here in TN. chasing ghost deer.
