I'm starting a new thread for the Brock's Gap Shoot. This is our first shoot, so please come if you can and bear with us as we figure out how to handle all of the issues with loading/cleaning space.
Complete information including GPS coordinates and directions can be found at this link: http://scssa.org/nbrsa.htm
I have also attached MS Word and PDF files with the same information. Both the link and the attached documents have complete driving directions to the range as well as to and from the campground and I-459 Exit 6 (Sleep Inn).
My contact info is:

We will be shooting 4 gun 100 yards (5 shot Unlimited).
Cheapest rooms are at the Sleep Inn, I-459 Exit 6 205-424-0000. There do not appear to be many rooms left so I recommend going ahead and making your reservation. There are plenty of rooms near the Riverchase Galleria in Hoover but the prices are higher. Riverchase Galleria is about 10 minutes from the range. The Sleep Inn is less than 10 minutes from the range.
Camping is available at Hoover RV Park, 100 Ben Chapman Drive, U-1, Hoover AL 35244 866-466-8378. The RV park is paved with 30 and 50 amp hookups, water and sewer and is located at the back of the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium parking lot. As far as I know there are no events happening that weekend that would cause it to fill up (they have LOTS of room) but it probably wouldn't hurt to give them a call. They do have an honor system checkin process so reservations are probably not necessary.
The RV park is less than 10 minutes from the range. If anyone needs help with transportation between the RV park and the range let me know and we'll work it out. I know a number of shooters will be staying there, so transportation should be available.
Range gate will be open at 6 am starting Thursday June 7. Shooting is not allowed until 9 am (Alabama Range Protection Act). Follow the single lane paved road all the way to the paved parking lot. I will have a sign up at the turn saying NBRSA. I'll be closing the gate at 9 pm each evening, but can open and close it remotely so if there is an issue requiring access outside these hours give me a call on my cell phone.
IMPORTANT! All shooters must sign a release form before shooting, so when you arrive find Alton Brent or me and sign the form before shooting! All shooters MUST wear eye protection at ALL times from 9 am to 9 pm when on range property. Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited.
Loading trailers are ok but be aware there is limited space and there is no power available for trailers.
I have indoor, air conditioned loading space for probably 25 shooters. There are tables in the training room, but they are narrow...24 inch by 6 feet. The space is carpeted and I have received permission for you to also clean inside, but no aerosols will be allowed and you MUST take precautions to not damage the carpet with cleaning solution. I will have some tarps available, but bringing your own is appreciated. If you own an EZup it would be a good idea to throw it in your truck just in case.
Also a good idea to bring a table just in case.
Y'all come and help make our first shoot a big success!
Steve
