A friend off mine has a Bruno, model 527 – 222, but a past owner removed the set trigger. This has made the Rifle unusable….

I’ve been told that someone in Canada brought up excess stock for these Rifles. Does anyone know who this person is and how to contact them

Thanks John

John, Did they remove parts or just adjust it so it is inoperable? With a little work and changeing the main spring the regular trigger can be brought down under 1 & 1/2 lb. Its no big deal to get the whole trigger out to work on it. All these parts are available from CZ USA. The whole trigger is about $130. Kenny

Is the gun a single set trigger or the double set trigger ?

I have some parts for the single set .However I believe the series he has is a double set.

I would say if it is indeed a 527 it would be a CZ and have a single set trigger. There is no reason to take any parts out of this trigger to disable the set option. Kenny

Thanks Chris for answering. It does have double set trigger

sicero, I believe that the trigger was removed because the owner didn't like a light trigger? Why he thought he had to use the set trigger is beyond me?

Now it's one of the worst triggers I've used... It's such a nice rifle, it is felt we'd like to keep it Original

Thanks John
