I have some brass I got with the gun with ynkown shots on it and am forming some new brass. What if any means of sorting brass do you use???

You will want to keep it seperate from your new brass, keep it in lots by the number of times fired is the normal practice. Steve

with unknown number of shots you'er not in a good starting position.
if you have a known working load, shoot them all and pull out brass that does not shoot in the group. consider using the used good brass for practice, the out of group brass for foulers and the new for match.

having said that you must remember that some guys shoot thier brass very little before changing and others shoot it all yr.......bottom line see how it shoots.

I'd use the old stuff ... for foulers only.

Use the new for practice and competition. Don't practice with something that you wouldn't use in a match.

Practice with the expensive custom made bullets, the best powder, the best primers and the best brass. You're trying to replicate in practice what you expect to do in a competitive match. :)

On that note, I don't even use questionable brass for foulers. Too much chance of it getting mixed in with the new stuff. Start with new brass...period!
