Time to shoot again. Despite Brady's perennial "You better be glad I ain't shooting" I really wish Brady was still shooting and singing In the Pines.
Riverbend Gun Club will host the annual Brady Knight Memorial September 12-13. This will be Light and Heavy Varmint 100 and 200 yards.
If you plan to camp you need to contact Jim Andress and let him know since camping is somewhat limited. Best way to contact Jim is via email to jim@precisionrifles.co
Here's the text of Jim's email to all shooters...not quite sure about the earth roasted beaver???
2020 Brady Knight Memorial Shoot
Well gang, after many months of want and woe, it’s finally time to once again gather and celebrate Brady Knight. His memorial shoot, held annually at River Bend Gun Club, will this year be held on September 12th & 13th. We will contest LV at 100 yards Saturday morning at 8:30AM, followed by HV at 100 yards in the afternoon.
On Sunday at 8:00AM we will start with HV at 200 yards, ending up with LV at 200 Yards in the afternoon. Practice days will be Thursday and Friday (September 10th and 11th) beginning at 8:00 AM. The traditional Diane Knight spaghetti supper will be served Friday at 6:00PM. BBQ lunch will be furnished both Saturday and
Sunday.
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic regulations in Georgia, social distancing will be observed while on club property. Face masks are not required but “recommended”. Hand sanitizer will be available at the range facilities. Guests will only be allowed at the match facilities on the Multipurpose-1 range and attached kitchen area.
Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 or a recent positive test should not plan to attend, and may potentially be asked to leave.
As was the case last year, camping spots are limited, so please rsvp to this email if you plan to bring a camper or trailer, otherwise spaces may be used up before you arrive. Please do NOT plan to arrive before Wednesday September 9th as there will be no parking spaces before Wednesday and no practicing before Thursday.
Since this event is in remembrance of Brady Knight, please feel free to bring stories, pictures, and a bad attitude; be prepared to whine, cry, fit, or fight. Red whiskey is optional. One last thing – when you RSVP for the match, vote on whether you prefer the traditional Lo Country Boil or an earth-roasted beaver for dinner
on Saturday night.
Hope to see you there!
Jim
