Border Barrels

Who out there has experience with Border barrels. Basically, one would cost around $475, which is not so bad by itself. Are they worth it? Any advantage? Such a pleasure to deal with that I have to add another $50 on for dispostion.

Don't know who is putting them on now but several years ago Hongisto put some on that shot excellent. I think he is not using them now due to all the red tape getting them in the country.

Several years ago Butch put one on my rifle. If I could hold as well as that barrel shoots, I'd be very happy. In short the barrels are as good as advertised. I don't regret I had one put on my Rem. 37 ....Slim :)

I've got two left

I have three left from a shipment of twenty five.
One T-1 16 twist six groove, and two four groove 17 twist - Wayne Smith put one of these on a spec Suhl and it shoots very strong.

Bob , How much for one of the barrels?

About $475 and it's up to you to get it through customs. There is no U.S. distributor because they've not "found anybody they can trust." I doubt they're any better than anything you can get domestically and probably not as good.

Jim,
One is already gone and the other is 556.00 - 4 groove 16.6 twist. The other one is on a Suhl and is for sale at 2,600.00 smithed by Wayne Smith. The action was never fired, he blueprinted and threaded the action, bedded it, and the wood stock had been clear coated.
Ask Chan how it shoots.

I guess I owe Wilbur now.
