I'm quit familiar with "gas" welding but was interested in what product and methods are you using for attaching bolt handles? What tensile strength and flow temp do you expect. I've used a product which flows at about 650 with a claimed tensile strength of 35,000 psi. Content is 95% cadmium and 5% silver. Always looking for something better:rolleyes:...Thanks...Herb

The five percent nickel rod that Brownell's sell for gas welding would be much stronger than what you use now.

Welding is not the same as soldering, when you think soldering, a better word with metal would be glueing.

Of course the best way would be Tig weld them on.

I had Dan TIG weld a Remington 700 bolt handle on a Dave Kiff Rem 721 bolt body for me and I'm very pleased with the results. You can bet that the bolt handle won't be falling off at some inopportune time
