Bolt handle

I've tried many bolt handle options. I hate welding the bolt handle. I especially hate when it comes off in your hand. What I do now, strarting with a straight Mauser bolt, Is forge the round knob into an tapered oblong first, and then bend the handle. This gives me that extra bit of length lost in bending, and gives a nice handle. No welds.

Papapaul,

Apparantly, no one knows what to say.... it is a wonderful forging job you are doing for anyone who wants a tactical bolt handle on a Mauser. Most guys don't know what you are doing here.

Scott, The handle probably shows up larger in the photo than it actually is. this would rate more like a light sporter handle viewed in person. I've had bolt handles which were professionally welded come off in my hand. These don't come off. I wouldn't have bothered posting this, but it does solve a problem, and i had to take the pictures anyway for a private matter.
