I will be holding the NC State meters IR50/50 and Mid Atlantic Regionals meters 3 gun matches this coming Saturday at Blue Ridge, located in Wilkesboro, NC. Gate to the range will be open at 7:30 AM and the first amtch will begin at 9:00AM and the 2nd will follow.
I will not be having food, so bring a sandwich and snack, and water.
There is a Blimpy's close by the range for those who want to run up ther between matches.
Weather is supposed to be a cool 58 degrees on Saturday morning and a high of 80 for the day.
Hope to see all of the usual suspects there, and hopefully a few new folks as well.

Congratulations Bruce on your Three gun Win. Great shooting .

Congrats to all of the winners, and thanks to all who showed up. Thanks to Wallace and Ernie Jenderko, and Jim Pepper, Johnathan, Devin, and the refs, and all the others who pitched in and helped make a great match. Couldn't do it without you guys, and wouldn't want to, I'm too old, and beat up!

Congrat to Bruce Hornstein and Ken Camper for their wins in 3 gun, and congrats to all the other winners as well. I appreciate all of you guys showing up to shoot. Hopefully conditions will be a little less windy next time, but the temperature was nice anyway:).

Young eyes and a good coach. Works everytime. He'll soon be overwhelmed by the opposite sex and it will be all for naught

Don, I agree, but the memories of a granfather who cared enough about his grandson to spend time with him money can never replace. If we had more fathers and grandfathers like Kent out there this country and our world would be a lot better place to live in!!

Phil,
Thanks for the kind words. I try to be nice, but you know it's a stretch for me:)
Devin is the only reason I'm still playing the game. I get more enjoyment out of just having him with me, and watching him get progressively better shooting, than I ever did shooting, even when I was doing well.
Shooting is something he and I can do together and spend a bit of time. Plus, he's a big help setting flags, and helping load and unload the stuff.
I think I'm getting the best end of the deal, in just being able to spend time with him doing something we both like doing.

Kent,
I have always considered you a friend and great competitor. Don is probably right, but as Devin gets older he'll have some great memories and he might get back in the sport like most of us did once he settles down. Keep doing the right thing with him and you'll never have any regrets, he's the future of our nation and he is getting the best education from you any child can get. Living here is South Georgia most boys don't know who the father is, much less their grandfather.

Kent I enjoyed the match Saturday and look forward to coming back. I have to agree with the past comments about Devin, you have a fine young man there. These days you seldom see the connection between grandfather and grandson like you and Devin have, cherish it. I see the both of you coming out winners with your relation.

Jim
