Results--Blue Ridge IR50/50 double 3-gun matches on October 15th, end of season

We will having the final matches of the season this Saturday, October 15 at Blue Ridge. The second match will be the final SOTY match of the year.

As most know, the winner of the 3 gun agg. SOTY for the year will win a Falcon rimfire action that was donated by Leonard Baity, of Baity Custom Gunworks. That was a very generous donation on Leonards part, and it is well appreciated. At this point, it's still up for grabs among a few top shooters. I wish them all the best of luck. It's a great prize!

I'll have the gate to the range open around 7:30AM, registration from 7:45-8:30 AM, and the first match will begin at 9:00 AM, and the second will follow, of course.

Food will NOT be available, so please bring your lunch, and water.

Looks like a good day to end the season.Weatherman says sunny with a high of 68.
See you in the morning.

Hi Kent,
I have company in this weekend. I hope that you will have a good shoot.

Jim,
Sorry to hear you can't make it. I always enjoy shooting with you and Truman, and all the rest of the guys.
Looks like the weather is going to be nice for tomorrow. Should be a good day to shoot. Devin and I tested a couple of new built rifles this afternoon, and it was bad windy. The rifles still shot well, but I hope the wind has passed on through by tomorrow:)

Blue Ridge - Oct. 15, 2011

Thanks Kent. I had a great time this year shooting at Blue Ridge with my friends. A special thanks to Mr. Leonard Baity of the Falcon Action Company. I had an opportunity to talk with him for the first time yesterday. I enjoyed my conversation with him.

Thanks again to everyone who made this shoot possible.

A big thanks to Mr. Leonard Baity for donating the Falcon action as a prize for this years matches. The contest went right down to the last match, and the winds yesterday sure made it a tough contest, no doubt. That's the first time we've given away such a nice prize, and I think it went over quite well with the shooters, and was appreciated by all.

Bill Pippin was the eventual winner of the SOTY 3 gun agg. and was winner of a Falcon action of his choice. Congratulation to Mr. Pippin. He's done a lot of great shooting over this year. I'd like to take the opportunity to thank all of the shooters who showed up for the matches at Blue Ridge this season. You guys are what makes it worth doing for a match director's efforts. I appreciate it immensely. We had some great matches this year with excellent turnout, and excellent shooting by many.

It's definitely a place to test your skills, nerves, and equipment.

Even with the tough winds, I had a lot of fun shooting with all of my friends yesterday. AND, last but not least, a big thanks to Wallace Putnam for doing the PC work and keeping it straight, and to Ernie Jenderko for his help scoring targets, and to Devin Roberts for taking down targets, making out targets and just doing whatever is needed to help out. I really do appreciate the help, and just couldn't do it without your help.
