Bloop Tubes on Tuners?

Hey Everyone,

I have a Harrell tuner and it came with a bloop tube that screws into it. What is the purpose of the bloop tube for benchrest shooting? Usually bloop tubes are for achieving a longer sight radius for iron sight position shooting. Is the purpose of the tube to keep the bullet from being exposed to the wind right as it exits the muzzle?

I think your spot on - gives it a chance to go to sleep before the wind can mess with it.
There is not alot of weight involved.
