I'm sorry, but I think those photos are fake. I've shot rimfire at Pinnacle both winter and summer since 2004, and I've never seen flag tails hanging straight down. I'm hoping to see some high 240's scores from you guys when Dave posts the scores! With rimfire ammo prices going so high, I might be rejoining the airgun crowd before too long!

Todd,
That picture was taken before the match started. I did order a green ski mask like Dan's from
LL Bean. Wait until next month and watch my scores climb.

And to think I was complaining to Birchfield here in Texas about our 40 degree shoot.......................now I have to call him and appoligize

Stout and hardy men ye be!

You can see the snow falling in the second photo. I have to say that the shooting shack was quite comfortable, much better than shooting prone on my basement floor through an opened sliding door. I think the temperature was in the twenties.
I joked that some of my misses were because of snowflake hits, but I wonder what effect that would really have on a .177 pellet.

That first photo at the top is of me out on the range setting out my flags before the match. I had 6 layers on to help insulate from the cold, but later on peeled it back to 5 as I was sweating bullets and was just too warm before lightening up. )chill(

So did you guys have any scores to report or did you need to burn them to stay warm?\\ nevermind I found them, no idea how I missed them last night.

Sorry I missed the shoot but I have a strict no shooting in blizzard policy!

Great photos - but I have to agree with Todd -- Pinnacle MT. never, never, never had flags that looked like that.
Congrats to you all.

Best,
Michael
