Black powder rifles

I have an urge to buy either a Missouri River or Rocky Mountain Hawken percussion style rifle in 50 or 54 cal. The Davide Pedersoli co. make beautiful replicas. Any thoughts?

Pedersoli makes very good muzzleloaders. Most of the competitors shooting the replica class in International Muzzleloading use them.
 
I have heard that the older 1970's Thompson Center Hawken 50 cal. was a very good shooting rifle.
