best rear bag for MBR

How do you folks decide on ear spacing on your rear bag? I'm about to start working w/ a Macmillan MBR, and am trying to figure out if I should order 2 or 3 rows of stitching between the ears. And yes, I'm a bag squeezer.

How do you folks decide on ear spacing on your rear bag? I'm about to start working w/ a Macmillan MBR, and am trying to figure out if I should order 2 or 3 rows of stitching between the ears. And yes, I'm a bag squeezer.

I've always used the dimension 1/8 inch less than the width of the butt stock. Example: If it's 1/2 inch [4/8"] wide, I order spacing that's 3/8" wide. I want the butt to ride on the ears, not in the bottom of the slot between them.
